The Overall objective of the assignment is to provide Institutional Building Technical Assistance to the beneficiaries of the project BG0202.01, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the National Employment Agency, in order to ensure successful implementation and management of Phare funded projects regarding Economic and Social Cohesion with a view to future absorption of ESF funds.To support the Implementation Agency and the Project Implementation Unit at central and local level in the implementation and monitoring of the grant schemes under the project BG 0202.01.Design, development and implementation of a MIS " Monitoring Information System" on a web basis for the Monitoring and financial control of the projects granted by the grant scheme.

Ministry of Labour & Social Policy, Bulgaria. Steel and Mining Areas Employment Project (SMAEP). 1.240.000 EUR
Technical assistance to strengthen and prepare the key institutions in the handling of EU Structural Funds type mechanisms and particularly the European Social Fund, to reduce unemployment and to promote economic development in five eligible regions of Bulgaria: Bourgas, Kardjali, Pernik, Sofia, Smolyan. The technical assistance provided aims to strengthen the institutions through Training and Advice. It also supports the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy to implement an EUR 10.24 million grant scheme to promote locally driven responses to the adverse economic circumstances created by the decline of traditional industries and the need for environmental regeneration.
